Some Blueprints are found in lockers, so pick up the any keys you find to come back and open them up for more combination weapons. Doing so will allow you to craft stronger weapons for later in the game. Take the time to stray a little bit off your path to objectives and pick up Blueprints along the way. This makes progressing through some sections a bit easier when you don't have to worry about not having any resources at a given moment. Knowing where to find easy health items, quick weapons, or specific types of weapons for combo items later can be super helpful.įor example, if you find a blueprint for the Laser Sword, make sure you know where you can easily find gems if that’s the best weapon you can craft. However, if you fail to investigate these Rumors before finishing that particular Case File, you will be unable to complete them later when the next case begins.Įarly on in the game (when you don’t have an extensive amount of combo blueprints), be sure to make a note of what types of stores are located in which area. Investigating these Rumors usually leads to a boss battle, as well as a big batch of bonus PP and Scrap. Rescuing survivors also increases the level of your Safe House in each area, which allows you to purchase better items, strong combo weapons, locations of collectibles, and extra costume items.Īfter you leave the mall and head into the town of Willamette, your contact Paula will report suspicious activity going on around town. Like with taking photos, rescuing or helping friendly survivors you encounter while roaming around is a great way to earn extra PP - especially since you can farm their locations by traveling far enough away from the area, then returning to the location to rescue them again. When leveling up early on, focus the majority of your skill points on the Fortitude skill tree - specifically in the veins of Health and Stamina.Īn increase in health is good for obvious reasons, but your Stamina bar is equally (if not more) important, as running past the larger hordes will make survival much easier. When you receive a notification that an encounter is nearby, take the moment to investigate and complete it. Encounters around the town will be randomly assigned activities, such as raiding a supply drop, destroying equipment or rescuing survivors. These events will reset in their locations after players venture far enough away, and can be farmed for additional PP. These events are also helpful to increasing the level of your Emergency Shelters, opening up new items that can be purchased at vendors. Taking pictures of side characters during a conversation as well will give you a bonus amount of PP for any sort of dialogue or drama.īoth inside the Megaplex and around the town of Willamette, encounters with friendly survivors (or other activities) can grant Frank a substantial bonus PP, as well as extra scrap or weapons to use. These are called persons of interests, and are recorded in your dossier as you play the game. You can also earn additional PP from taking pictures of key characters during the story. Catching any special moment (like an explosion or character death) within the frame as well will earn you even more PP. You can earn an easy 8 to 10 thousand PP just from a single picture, possibly more in some instances.
